As an authority the Food Safety Authority have an important role in working to ensure that the all food produced, distributed and marketed in Ireland meets and exceeds the required standards and legal requirements of food safety and hygiene.
MediaOne have worked closely with the FSAI over the duration of the project to restructure their site content into usable groups of content and to streamline their online offering. The entire site was also integrated with an enterprise level CMS solution.
The final product addressed all of the requirements of the FSAI and more. The site launched on the 30th March 2009 and include subscriptions, email alerts, dedicated Food Businesses section and comprehensive Legislation section. The CMS solution is fullly extensible and will also allow for a vast level of further development and integration with other 3rd party solutions.
